Climate change is an urgent global issue, and Patterdale CofE School is committed to playing a meaningful role in helping the environment through decarbonisation; delivering climate education to and fostering a love of nature in our children; and becoming more resilient to extreme weather. We aim to do this by embedding sustainability into our ethos, policies, curriculum and daily practices in order to reduce our environmental footprint as well as empowering pupils with the knowledge and skills to make a difference. We believe that it is our responsibility to “Think Global; Act Local” and this Climate Action Plan will set out how we currently put this into practice.
